About HTX Sell My House: Susan and Alex Bouchard

Who owns and runs htxsellmyhouse.com, and how do they work?

HTX Sell My House is a Houston company owned and run by Susan Bouchard and Alex Bouchard. We buy old houses, or we take your house to the builders for you, and you choose. Every figure on this site names its public source and the date we read it.

What this means for you

You know who you are dealing with. Two named people and a Houston phone number stand behind every page. If something here is wrong, you can tell us and we correct it.

Who we are

Susan Bouchard lives and works in Houston. She sells old houses to builders.

Alex Bouchard has 13 years in commercial real estate in Houston (Alex Bouchard, stated 2026-10-14). He is a co-owner of HTX Sell My House.

Susan and Alex are the named authors of the pages on this site. Each page shows who wrote it and the date it was last updated.

How we work

  1. You send the address and tell us what is going on.
  2. A person calls within one business day. It is Susan or Alex.
  3. We say plainly which way a sale could go: we buy it, or we take it to the builders for you. You choose. If you are better off listing with an agent, we say so.
  4. We do not forward your details to a builder or any other buyer without asking you first.

On some deals HTX Sell My House closes the purchase itself. On others a builder closes. We tell you which, in writing, before you sign. Because we may be the buyer, we are not a neutral party. Get at least two numbers and talk to an attorney of your own.

What we are not

We are not real estate agents, and we do not list or market your house. We are not attorneys, so nothing here is legal advice. We are not appraisers, so no figure here is an appraisal of your property. The terms page says more.

The rule: every figure names its public source

Each number on this site carries its source and the date we read it. Land values come from the Harris Central Appraisal District. Minimum lot size and historic status come from the City of Houston. Deed information comes from civic associations and recorded documents, and we say how sure we are. We label an appraisal as an appraisal, an asking price as an asking price and a reported sale as reported. When we do not have a number, we say so.

Terms used on this page

  • HCAD: the Harris Central Appraisal District, the county office that appraises every property for tax.
  • Teardown: an old house bought mainly for its land, then replaced.
  • Special Minimum Lot Size: a City of Houston designation that prevents lots on a block from being divided below a set size.
  • Deed restrictions: private rules recorded against a lot or subdivision, separate from City rules.
  • Appraisal: a value set for a purpose such as tax. It is not a sale price.

How to reach us

To sell a house, use the form on the home page. Builders can call us. A seller is never sent to a builder directly, and a person is the only bridge between the two. To ask us to delete what you sent, see the privacy page.
